In order to proceed with a tenancy we require certain references in order to establish the applicant is both suitable and financially able to meet the responsibilities and conditions of the tenancy agreement. We will endeavour to obtain the following:

  • Employment reference – to be provided by the employer on company letter headed paper confirming the applicants position, employment status i.e. full time and remuneration package
  • Bank reference – this is called a “Status Enquiry” the applicant completes an internal form which is then sent by Druce to the applicant’s bank for processing.
  • Current Landlord reference – if the applicant is currently renting a property we will source a written reference from the Landlord.
  • Character reference – a written reference from a colleague or long term acquaintance.

We also instruct a third party referencing company to perform credit checks to identify any adverse credit history.
